Method of calculating the toll and rate increases
The toll is the amount that the user pays for the use of the motorway. The criteria for the calculation of the tolls for the Italian motorway network are established by the specific regulations of the sector transposed into the existing agreements between the concessionaire company and the Granting Authority.
The motorway toll is determined by multiplying the number of kilometres travelled by the unit rate per kilometre of the Concessionaire, to which are added the surcharges and taxes provided by the current legislation.
The rate increases of the last five years are shown below:
2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 |
---|---|---|---|---|
0,00% | 0,00% | 0,00% | 2.30% | 0,00% |
The rate increase of 2024 corresponds to the planned inflation rate indicated in the Update Note of the Economic and Finance document (NADEF) approved by the Italian Council of Ministers on 27/09/2023.
